How long do I have to bring a lawsuit against those who are legally responsible for my personal injuries?

In Florida, the statute of limitations is four years from the time of your accident within which to file a claim. Now, if the responsible party is either a government, municipality, or the state then you only have three years within which to do so. You need to be mindful of these time limits, because if you do not file the claim within that time period you can be barred from receiving any type of recovery.
